Review: Soul Press, Mornington.

I don’t know about you but breastfeeding makes me want to EAT ALL THE THINGS. Which is fine except ‘all the things’ are usually toast, a stray muesli bar and a hash brown from the drive through. This is where Soul Press comes in to save the day. Quick food that is delicious AND healthy.

I first fell in love with Soul Press while frequenting their Edithvale store. It popped up like a funky mirage in the quiet shopping strip opposite the beach side of the station. A few juices, treats and amazing raw bowls and I was hooked.

Matcha Maiden

Well headed in on Saturday morning and although it was busy, we received our takeaway order as quick as a flash. The friendly staff gave us a buzzer so that we could move away from the crowded ordering area and people watch from a table. The décor is fresh and cool and there is enough seating and room outside for a mother’s group get together or a casual chill with friends. Inside is compact yet carefully furnished for maximum use of space- you could fit in a pram or two in without crowding other patrons.

“Like a cookie”

Mini chose a berry vanilla biscuit and declared that it ‘tastes like a cookie.’ I had the Matcha Maiden bowl and it was delish. Easy to eat with one hand while holding The Baby in the other. Win.

The perfect spot to grab a green smoothie on your lunch break, or you know, on the way home from school drop off. We’ll be back.

Soul Press Mornington: 105/6 Ross St, Mornington. Open 7 Days.
